Mummie Plants products are increasing in popularity in Norway. A recent project in Oslo Central Station by our Dutch partners Hildering Trading caught the eye of the Statoil team who commissioned 5 trees for a temporary (3 year) office project in Fornebu Oslo located next to their famous Five Elements Headquarters.
The stunning Statoil HQ in Fornebu has been awarded several international prizes including the ‘Best Commercial Building’ at the 2012 World Architecture News (WAN) awards.
A maintenance free planting solution was sought for the break out area in this temporary office space. Semi Artificial Trees were chosen to fulfil the brief. The trees standing 3 meters tall were custom built and constructed from Dried Natural Trunks with Natural Manzanita wood attached to form the branches, the trees were then completed with stems of Artificial Camellia Leaves inserted to form the canopy. Pre construction in Holland took 10 days and a further 3 days were required on site to complete the installation.
The simple grey square planter compliments the interior style and is the perfect base for these elegant trees.
